NFC Tag and GreenSpaces

Within GreenSpaces, NFC tags play a key role in the identification and management of equipment in urban green spaces, such as playground structures. Each tag contains a unique code that can be scanned by any NFC-enabled device, such as a smartphone or tablet. Once scanned, it provides immediate access to the inspection form of the selected play equipment in GreenSpaces platform, enabling quick retrieval of equipment data, maintenance history, and scheduled interventions.

By attaching NFC tags directly to play equipment, municipalities and outsourcing companies ensure full traceability and accurate documentation of safety checks and maintenance activities. This streamlines inspections, eliminates paperwork, and guarantees that every asset is properly tracked over time, even across different teams or contractors.

The second application of the NFC tags can be placed on the gates or the entrance of a site, allowing the operator to easily filter the maintenance jobs planned on that  location. In the city of Venice they are installed on park gates and are used to register the passages of the personnel. When the gate is closed or opened, the tag is scanned by the operator, allowing the system to digitally register when the operator has been there to perform the opening or closure. This ensures traceability, and allows city authorities to reply to citizens with exact data  in the case of complaints.
